Computer Systems and Devices Applied to health
This line aims to develop computational tools, devices and tools to aid the personal activities of health care in diagnosis, patient monitoring and disease research. To this end, it incorporates research in modeling and biomedical signal processing, digital processing of biomedical imaging and computer graphics techniques of applications and virtual and augmented reality for medical staff training, computer vision and human-computer interaction.
How should always take place in research in the field of Biomedical Engineering, works absolutely seamlessly with the other lines of the program. Thus, for example, research in the line of "computer systems and devices applied to health" can act as support for developments in the search line in "Rehabilitation and assistive technologies" through models and methods for understanding and analysis of the movement, analysis of biomedical signals, human-computer interaction, mechanical simulation of members and physiological structures, among others.
